There are always questions that you will want to ask but may not know where to get the information.
 
We therefore want to make every effort to answer all of your questions here to make planning your event as easy as possible.

Sounds Amazing Entertainment is run by professionals with years of performence and management experience across the whole spectrum of musical styles.
 
We understand all aspects of organising the event such as choosing the perfect artist for the occasion, organising PA equipment, choosing song requests, right up to putting on that special show-stopping performance.
 
We have a huge roster of top quality artists, and we offer a choice of great value discounts and provide expert impartial advice on the subject that we know and love, music.
 



If the artist you choose isn’t available for the date of your event then Sounds Amazing Entertainment will be able to recommend to you a similar artist of equal quality that will be able to perform on the date in question.
 
Simply contact us by email or phone, ideally with a first and second choice of artist, and let us do the rest.
 



In one word, yes.
 
All of our artists have been individually selected for their musical and performance ability.
 
We pride ourselves at Sounds Amazing Entertainment for providing the best entertainment money can buy.
 
The artists are usually better than the audio samples can demonstrate, as the sheer live energy and showmanship cannot simply be put onto an audio sample, it is something that you can only experience during a live performance.
 
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about the performances of any of our bands; some bands will even have live recordings available to show exactly what they can do during a performance.
 



Unfortunately, most of the artists on our roster do not perform at many public events as they are professional function bands and mainly perform at private events.
 
Most private clients, as I’m sure you can imagine, prefer not to have uninvited guests at their event in order to listen to the band.
 
Some bands may, however, have live recordings or video available for you that have been recorded at previous events.
 
Very few bands will have live public performances that you may be able to view them at.
 
Please ask for more details on live performances when booking.
 



All of our function bands will be ideal for, and have played at, events with approximately 50 to 500 guests.
 
This makes any of our bands ideal for weddings, parties, corporate events or anywhere that you require a great atmosphere and lively, top quality music.
 
As a rule of thumb, the more musicians in a band the bigger the sound and ’presence’, consequently the cost is often bigger too.
 
Factors such as number of guests, function room size, stage size and type of event will influence the size of band chosen but please contact us to help make your choice as easy as possible.
 



Most of our artists have their own PA equipment and stage lighting (if required), and the use of this will be included in the pricing structure.
 
If additional PA or lighting equipment is needed because either the band does not have their own, or the event is catering for a large number of people, then we will be happy to organise this through one of our partner companies.
 
These factors should be discussed with Sounds Amazing Entertainment before booking.
 



Each venue may have its own requirements or restrictions for PA equipment (such as sound limiters) and lighting, and this information can be found by discussing with the venue’s event manager.
 
There may also be limitations on the use of smoke machines and other effects which some artists may use.
 
To facilitate the organisation of these matters, Sounds Amazing Entertainment will be happy to liase with the venue’s event manager in order to discuss the technical aspects of the event and make sure that the artist you choose has the correct equipment for the venue.
 



Most of our artists can perform at both indoor and outdoor venues, but this should be checked with the venue before proceeding with the booking.
 
The main points to consider for live music are staging area (usually at least a minimum of 20’ by 10’ for a medium sized band, smaller for classical or jazz ensembles), stage base (ideally a permanent stage, otherwise temporary staging or at least a hard floor) and electricity requirements (power points and extension cables will be required for non-acoustic instruments such as guitars and amplifiers).
 
All of this information should be discussed with the venue prior to booking, or alternately Sounds Amazing Entertainment can liase on your behalf.
 

 

Each event is individually tailored to suit your needs, and therefore the price on the artist’s profile page is just meant as a guide for comparison.
 
The price will be the minimum price that the artist can perform for (hence the term ‘from’ price) and will usually include PA hire, travel expenses within the local area of the band (within 20-30 miles) and standard set lengths and timings (2 x 45 minute sets, performing between 8pm and midnight).
 
Artists will usually charge a premium for performances that continue after midnight. Other costs may be incurred if the artist is required for longer than their usual performance length or if an additional set of music is required.
 
Some bands may have different sizing options and may be able to perform as, say, a 7-piece band despite their profile stating that they are a 10-piece band.
 
The cost of this smaller band will be lower and hence this price is shown in this 'price from' field.
 
Please bear in mind that the artists Sounds Amazing Entertainment recommends are professional musicians and therefore make their living in the entertainment industry, hence whatever price you pay will be very competitive and exceptional value for money.
 
Most artists will be very accommodating with their performance so please ask us for options prior to booking. We will ask you detailed questions about your event and this information will be taken into account when recommending artists, along with liasing with the artist to get accurate cost estimates.
 
The final quote for the band will therefore be a total cost, with nothing further to pay.
 

 

There may be additional costs that need to be covered, such as petrol, van hire, insurance, congestion charge or overnight accommodation (usually only if the venue is located further than 100 miles from the artist’s home), but all of these will be built into the quote using set rates that have been discussed with the bands.
 
Please bear in mind that Sounds Amazing Entertainment has bands all over the UK and travel expenses are calculated from their hometown, hence the artist’s location could be an influencing factor when choosing from our roster.
 
The artists themselves will spend a lot of time preparing for your event – rehearsing, loading equipment, travelling, setting up equipment, the performance itself, then packing up and getting home again, hence the money you pay for the event is being very well spent and goes a long way.
 
We will calculate all of these incidental costs for each event and build this into your quote; hence the figure quoted will be the total amount you will pay, no extra hidden costs.
 

 

Any booking can be confirmed by an email stating which artist you want to book and that you have read and agree to our terms & conditions of booking.
 
We will double check the availability with your chosen artist and providing that they are still available your booking will be confirmed and a contract will be sent to asap.
 
You then simply need to print, sign and return this contract with the booking fee outlined in the contract (approx 15% of the total price).
 



Any artist can be secured for your event by payment of a standard booking fee along with the signed contract.
 
This should be paid by cheque made payable to ‘Sounds Amazing’. Bank transfer is also available on request.
 
The final balance will then be required to be paid directly to the artist(s) on the evening of the event in cash or bankers draft, or 14 days prior to the date of the event by personal cheque payable directly to the artist(s).

Sounds Amazing Entertainment has handpicked all of the artists on our roster for their expertise in the entertainment industry Due to our experience we can judge just how good an artist really is for your event, not just follow the promotional material alone.
 
The reputation of Sounds Amazing Entertainment is at stake each and every time we recommend an artist, and therefore we are not in the habit of recommending artists that we are not 100% sure will be everything you hope for.
 
We have recordings and promotional material for all of our artists, which is completely free of charge for you to browse on request.
 
We therefore aim to offer you all the information you will need to give you complete peace of mind when choosing the entertainment for your event. If you have any questions about any of our artists, no matter how trivial you may feel it is, please don’t hesitate to ask.
 



Yes, Sounds Amazing Entertainment prides itself on providing the most comprehensive, value for money and professional service available for the booking of live music and entertainment.
 
We take care of everything from consulting with you to determine your requirements for the event, liasing with both the artists and the venue to determine equipment and set up requirements, to taking care of the last minute issues such as payment, timings and emergency equipment hire.
 
We will always be available for any questions or problems you have right up to the event itself.
 
All of our artists make their living from performing at events such as yours and are therefore both experienced and professional in their attitude and performance.
 
There are cheaper ‘local pub’ bands out there for hire, but we aim to give you complete peace of mind in the knowledge that the band you choose will know exactly what they are doing and will do their utmost to provide the best entertainment possible.
 
Less professional bands dont have a network of replacement musicians should one of their members become ill. Nor do they rely on performances at private events for their reputation, and hence livelihood.
 
The saying of ‘you get what you pay for’ is usually correct when it comes to live music, so if you find yourself asking ‘why is this pub band half the price’ of the professional one then there is usually a reason.
 



Artists will normally need at least an hour to set up their equipment and change prior to the event, larger bands may need up to two hours.
 
The more time available for set up and sound check the better, but one hour is usually a good estimate. The artists will also require a separate room to change in and store instrument cases - luggage, and this should be discussed with the venue prior to booking.
 
Each event and venue is different though and the set up requirements will need to be discussed to ensure that your event is not disturbed during the set up time.
 
If an artist is required to arrive considerably early in order to set up and - or sound check then additional early set up fees may be incurred. 
 
Sounds Amazing Entertainment will be happy to liase with the venue event manger and the band in order to facilitate this arrangement.
 

 

Each venue will have its own fire and safety procedures, which the artist(s) should be made fully aware of on arrival.
 
The artist(s) will ideally need ground floor access to the function room to facilitate the safe moving of equipment, and the stage area should be completely free of any tripping or electrical hazards that may pose a safety risk.
 
Please let Sounds Amazing Entertainment know of any safety issues or questions raised by the venue prior to the event so that we can liase with the artist.
 



Each artist has different preferences for set timings, but the normal is for 2 sets, usually lasting 45 minutes to 1 hour.
 
Some artists may only offer 1 set (usually tribute artists) and some may be able to offer 3 sets of 40 to 45 minutes. These options should be discussed with Sounds Amazing Entertainment prior to booking.
 

 

All venues and events are different, as that is what makes them special to you.
 
Most artists will therefore be able to accommodate most timing requests, but certain restrictions or additional costs may apply.
 
As a rule of thumb, the longer that a band is required to be at the venue, and the later the event finishes, the more expensive the cost will be.
 

 

An artist will usually be away from home for at least the whole evening, and an average event that involves a certain amount of travelling will usually run to over 10 hours away from home.
 
For these reasons, the band will always require refreshments during the event in place of the meals that they will miss.
 
These refreshments can either be provided at the event or an additional premium can be added to the quote for the band to take into account refreshments that the band will need to purchase.
 
There may not be time at your event for the artist to leave in order to purchase refreshments, and hence the provision of these refreshments by the client is always preferred. 
 
Sounds Amazing Entertainment will be happy to discuss these options prior to booking.
 

 

Many of our artists offer the option of either learning a special request song for your event or giving you the choice from a song list that they already know.
 
Having a special song request performed by a professional live band really adds something special to the event, so if you do have any requests don’t hesitate to ask.
 
Please bear in mind though that songs do take time to arrange and learn, especially for a large band, so as much notice as possible should be given for requests, and some bands may have a notice period after which they cannot offer this option.
 
This is usually in the region of 6 to 8 weeks.
